  • Yes. Bravely’s founder, Megan Hansen, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and certified School Social Worker. Megan has worked directly with IEP and 504 teams, supported students in special education, and understands the demands educators face every day. Our team brings a deep understanding of school systems, trauma-informed care, and the importance of collaboration between schools and mental health providers

  • Yes—this is one of our core specialties. We work with school teams to create practical, relationship-centered systems that move beyond punitive models. Our trauma-informed services can include staff training, consultation, student support plans, and collaboration on systemwide strategies to promote safety and regulation for all learners.

  • Yes. We provide small group therapy and skill-building groups focused on emotional regulation, peer relationships, self-esteem, and coping skills. We also offer consultation and implementation support for schools interested in bringing trauma-informed SEL into the classroom.

  • We are open to school-based observation when it is clinically appropriate, helpful for understanding a student's needs, and permitted by the district. We always obtain parent/guardian consent before any in-school observation takes place, and we collaborate with staff to ensure minimal disruption to the student or classroom.

  • While school-based services are incredibly valuable, Bravely offers an added layer of support outside the school environment. We provide deeper continuity of care, involve caregivers more directly, and offer trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming therapy that follows the child across settings—not just during school hours. Our collaboration with schools is strong, but our therapeutic relationship is built independently with the child and family at the center.
